Wen Yu was an engineer before he began writing Three Friends and Pythagorean Theorem. One day, while watching his eleven-year-old son playing video games, he found himself transported into strange mathverses, where he witnessed marvelous and enchanting magic. Intrigued, he began weaving what he had seen into silly stories after returning to his home in Texas, U.S.A.
